Here is the current status of the radio prototypes. I am currently working on replacing the cable connection between the Tillboard Extension or the OPEN-CNC-Shield to the control panel with a wireless solution. For this purpose I have created various housings and tested different approaches. More about this in this short video:
Also planned for the next version of the prototype board:
- Additionally provide a LPT port, so you would not be bound to the Tillboard Extension or the OPEN-CNC-Shield anymore, but could also use Mach3 or LinuxCNC or similar. At least this is the plan. Since I don’t own both yet, these are only speculations so far 🙂
Now it’s time to write the software so that communication is possible in both directions. Stay tuned 😉
